Dido Elizabeth Belle Paper Doll
LVK Paper Dolls
This paper doll was inspired by Dido Elizabeth Belle (1761-1804), the daughter of Maria Belle, an enslaved African woman, and Sir John Lindsay, English nobility. Dido was raised by her father's family as a lady with her cousin Lady Elizabeth Murray.
This paper doll, which stands approximately 8.5" tall, is based on a painting of Dido with her cousin. The 15 page paper doll book includes one paper doll, an attached stand, seven dresses, and an envelope to store the uncut paper doll and her clothes.
